Jorts is a sticky notes app designed for elementary OS but runs on any Linux distribution.

Some of the code (and the aesthetic) was from original work by Lainsce. Jorts is a fork of an older version of Notejot from a time before new additions broke NoteJot for elementary OS 8.

This is free and open source software.

Features include:

  • Colourful: Ten pretty themes. Any new note gets a random one.
  • Adaptive: New notes get the zoom you last chose.
  • Cute: Each new note has a funny or cute random (editable) title.
  • Handy: You can open links and emails with Ctrl+Click.
  • Insert emojis.
  • Private: Try the scribble mode!

Developer: Stella (fork of work by Lains)
